Specialist planning through Tidira
Through Tidira, I develop operating concepts, compare investment options and prepare tenders. I also coordinate logistics requirements with building and software teams. Current assignments cover a multi-storey factory, pharmaceutical production logistics, pallet automation and warehouse reorganisation. Depending on the assignment, I can continue with tests, ramp-up and stabilisation.
System integration at KNAPP
At KNAPP, I managed international material-handling projects, coordinating mechanical engineering, controls and IT. My work covered commercial and technical project management, functional specifications, software tests and commissioning. My projects included Falabella’s distribution centre in Santiago de Chile.
Warehouse automation at Knorr-Bremse
At Knorr-Bremse, I led an automated warehouse project from feasibility and preparation for investment approval through supplier selection, SAP integration, tests and ramp-up. I then took responsibility for daily warehouse operation, maintenance planning and expansion concepts.
Warehouse and ERP at Roam Electric
At Roam Electric in Nairobi, Kenya, I built and managed the warehouse operation, introduced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, developed operating routines and trained the team.
How I approach a project
A higher automation level can still leave receiving, replenishment or exceptions understaffed. I want the investment comparison to show that remaining work, the complete system capacity and the costs outside the equipment price. The recommendation should explain why one operating concept fits and which assumptions could change that conclusion.
During detailed engineering, I check proposed changes against the operating requirements. With the project team, I clarify who is responsible for each interface, how the required performance will be tested and what has to be ready for start-up. That includes the staff, training and procedures needed to run the warehouse.
